Cebuanos always look for the best value for their money especially food. Here's a unique kind of food you can expirience here in cebu. Pungko-pungko is refer to small self-service eateries selling all time-favorite fried foods or a box of street foods. The word “pungko” is a Cebuano word that means to squat. To squat and the semi-enclosed space also add some comfort to the experience. We used to “pungko” in front of the basket and pick what we wanted to eat. Everything is based on honesty since the vendor would be unable to keep track of what we ate. We can see pungko-pungko vendors everywhere in Cebu. For me the best pungko-pungko is located in Fuente, Cebu.
