Balut or Boiled Fertilized Duck Egg is one of the popular food here in the Philippines. They always dare foreigners to try it. Despite its appearance, it is delicious and healthy. It is said to contain protein, iron and calcium. You eat it by cracking and opening a small hole on the the shell then slurping the amniotic fluid. After finishing the fluid, continue removing the shell then eat the yellow part and the duck.
