Entry for the Christmas Contest - Home make Christmas lunch - basic food cooked with Love

This is a special Christmas lunch prepared for me and my family. We go and visit our long time family friend and they are sharing with us their food cooked with lots of love.
This is the honey baked ham and it is simply delicious as we chatted and laughed at each other jokes and just being happy together as a family.

This is the turkey breast dish. We have gravy to go with it. Though not the traditional whole turkey with stuffing, these soft and tender breast are tasty.

This is the best roast pork I have eaten. So crispy on the outside skin, soft meat not over cooked and not too much fat. Well seasoned and very tasty. The crackers were great.

Home made coleslaw with her own special dressings. Refreshing and great since we have lots of meat already.

This is a mixed vegetables dish, consist of chick pea, long beans, carrots, sweet corn and peanuts. A nice and delicious dish as I love these vegetables.

Pavlova make from scratch, home make by my friend. She baked the base and below are the photos I have taken after she has taken it out and start cutting out the fruits to put as toppings.

This is the cream she used to spread on the Pavlova and the next photo has the kiwi fruit added to the top.

Then she added the mango on as well. She is generous with the mango as she knows we love mangos. It is not cheap as each mango is $4.00 but it was really sweet and juicy and lots of flesh.

This is the make do Christmas tree as it is actually a fire place with a chimney. They put a smaller Tree and dressed up the fireplace (olden days type).
So during winter, they will have the logs inside this fire place. It will warm the house up.

We have a wonderful and great Christmas as we can feel the warm and love from being with them. Food was prepared with so much love and they are just delicious. What better way to spend our Christmas celebration to welcome Baby Jesus.
Thank God for giving us such wonderful and precious friends.
