I am pulling the plug...

I am pulling the plug on sBi Saturday at the end of the year which means this is the next to the last edition of sBi Saturday for the Daily Dose. The funding source has all but dried up which allowed me to keep it going since early May. It was a good run while we had it though and we were able to give away at least three shares a week every week from May 5 and when it ends next Saturday it will be 35 consecutive weeks. (Intentionally paused here for applause) Not for me, for the funding source; @spl.

I really don't know...

I really don’t know the exact number of shares of sBi that we gave away here and I really don’t care to go count them up. I do know there were plenty of weeks that we were above the minimum of three that I set as the standard. I am grateful that I was able to do it and keep it going as long as I was able too. It never cost me a dime of my own steem to do it and the best part was I had fun collecting the funds to do it. At some point in the future if the source of funds becomes available again I will surely reinstate it but for now it is scheduled to be history.

Today I am picking the winners, just like usual, but for the final week I am going to let the readers of the Daily Dose decide who will be the last three recipients of the 2018 sBi Saturday shares. I hate when I do stuff like this because then I have to figure out how to run the contest and make the rules and such; you folks know I am not big on rules so there won’t be many of those.

Guzbucking rules...

So let’s take a stab at some rules:
#1 .) in order to win a share you must be nominated by someone else in the comments of this edition of sBi Saturday.

#2.) a person can be nominated more than once but the votes will only count from the highest tallied nomination of a person with multiple nominations.

#3.) the top three vote recipients will each receive one share of sBi.

#4.) voting for nominations ends on 12/28/18 at 10:00PM central time zone, USA.

If there is a need for any other rules then I will decide if I make another rule or I just say this is how it is. For now this is how it is.

So let me break it down for you. Rule 1 is pretty simple. Don’t nominate yourself. That rule is in the spirit of SBI since a person cannot purchase sBi for themselves. Let’s say I wanted to nominate someone, this would be the proper way to make a nomination.

It would be a great idea to read all the nominations before you go and nominate someone; that is covered by Rule 2.

I am not going to go thru multiple nominations for the same person and count the votes and add them together. If a person has been nominated more than once I am going to select the nomination for that person that has the highest vote count and use that number as the count. So; nominating a person more than one time will more than likely dilute the numbers of votes the nominee received.

Rule 4 sets the...

Rule 4 sets the deadline for votes for the nominees. For all you folks foreign to the Republic of Texas the deadline is 10:00 PM Texas time on next Friday night. I am not going to tell you what time that is in UTC time because I don’t know, (I don’t live in UTC) I live in Texas and that is the time I normally try to post at night. This post is a little later than normal because I fell asleep for three hours while writing it.

I had a dream...

I had a dream while I was sleeping and I swear there was something in that dream that was important enough to create a rule for and I’ll be damned if I can remember it now that I am awake. Anyway, if anything else pops up or creates an issue I have the final say so I’ll deal with it as I see fit to do.

Yes, I know. I can’t count to three. It’s not that I can’t count to three; I counted there twice. This is the last time I may ever get to decide; you seriously didn’t think I could stop at three did you?
