It's Time to Arise

And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise” (Luke 7:14 NKJV).

You and I are the church of Jesus Christ on the earth today, the visible representation of an invisible God. We have the Holy Spirit living within us and have been commissioned to shine His love in the midst of a dark world.

Yet have you ever wondered what the church should look like to the world around us? What does it mean to “arise” and shine in this day and hour? Perhaps this is a glimpse of what God intends:

To be a church whose heart beats for what His heart beats for ... the world.
To run into the darkness and dispel it with the light of Christ.
To be a voice for those who have been silenced.
To open our arms to the poor.
To be the hands and feet of Jesus on this planet.

I believe the world will know that Jesus Christ is alive when He comes alive in us!!
