This particular hen is still pretty young in this picture and happens to be one of the bullies in the chicken compound now. The plan is to separate her for a few days since she is one mean chicken machine. Always after the babies and their mama.
A mother's life is hard enough - we don't need bullies to make it harder.
Maybe she and I need to have a talk about what a soup pot looks like 🤪

Ha! we only had four chickens, raised from chicks but Lydia was a bully. We pulled her out for days in the beginning and she got better, but was still ornery most of the time. Always had an attitude and would pick on the smallest from time to time. Never thought about a pot though...I hope yours straightens up!
