ok now that we have moved forward a little bit with the deployment of hf20 and patches have been applied (digital packet plasters!) it’s probably a good time to consider who of the witnesses you are gonna keep in a position of reacting to these rapid changes.
with witnesses getting paid quite a lot when they are in the top block makers it’s important that we mobilise those who are putting in the work and delivering above and beyond than others to more prime positions so that we can maintain this ‘velocity’ that hf20 is meant to bring us.
after all if we onboard a number of new users over the next 6/12 months then we want to make sure that we retain them and that the next hard fork has learnt the lessons of the this rollout, maybe it does not need to have as many features released as the last one or just better comms between testnet run throughs and a more focus video show with certain witnesses sharing knowledge share of what they have found in new code releases — we certainly cannot have a similar problem than before.
i made a little screencast video detailing the process of voting for witnesses when you have multiple steemit accounts using VESSEL a really easy to use interface to the steem blockchain, it makes adding witness votes on each of the accounts that you have on the blockchain, no logging in and out, just do it all in one interface — it’s free, it’s open source i believe too, either way, it’s incredibly powerful and you can do all the actions within it.
i hope this is useful for you other dtubers, don’t forget to pick and support those witnesses you believe are doing solid witness work for us all, i see a bunch of people outside of the top twenty that should be nearer the top for sure because of the sheer effort and rapid response to the recent hf20 deployment.
