Dad Tip of the Day: Kids are Different
Dad tip of the day: Each kid is different, so you will need to adjust and embrace these differences.
My kids are young, but there are already so many differences between the two. For example, some kids are picky eaters, others will eat anything. Some like to sleep, while others just want to play.
As my kids get older, I look forward to even more differences emerging. For now, one huge difference is in the way they wake up. Jacob is always grumpy and slow to wake up, while Kendra is always happy and smiley whenever she wakes up. My wife snapped this picture when the two woke up from a nap over the weekend:
As you can see, their attitudes and demeanors are completely different when they wake up. As a dad, I have been learning to adjust my expectations when they wake up – for Jacob, we tend to do a little reading or just hang out on the couch while he finishes waking up. For Kendra, we immediately start playing as she is most engaged at that point.
Learning to adjust to your kids natural preferences and tendencies as well as embracing these differences will help make you a better parent.
Have fun, and good luck!
Brian

Interesting!😍✨ When did you find the differences between kids? I have only one daughter, she is 8-months-old and I think I have now starting to noticed the features is character. 😋
Bahahahah... Thats fantastic timing. He almost looks like he is saying to your wife about taking a picture "Really right now? You know how I am in the morning!!" It's the little things about our kids that makes them unique. You get to see more of these change as they grow up for sure and some of them never change, they just become more distinct. I have 16, 12 and 10 year old kids. They all have there own little quirky things that make them unique and special. The way they each interact with me is different as well. I have my serious but cuddly middle daughter, I have my go go go athletic youngest and a strong independent older teen. Cherish each aspect and love all that they are. Great post. I really enjoy the perspective of kids and family.
Brian,
Great tips and great blessing to have children.
My tip would be sure to spend quality time with your children all through the time they grow up. Cherish those moments, make a positive impact on their lives and always give them your time when they come to ask you questions.
The old Cat Steven's sogn "Cats in the cradle" would be appropriate advise as well.
Best of success Brian!
Awww. They are so cute. The better you are as a parent, the more better your children shall be as parents. Children follow footsteps of parents
What lovely children, may God bless and protect you.
Hello Brian, you are so blessed with very wonderful kids. My best wishes to them as they progress in this life. Thank you for sharing :)
Your kids are adorable! It’s so much fun seeing your kids growing up, and like you say, their diferences. I have three kids age 2, 5 and 6 and they are so different! Luckily they get along very well. 😊
How beautiful, they made me laugh, that's how you say every head is a world and we have different tastes, it does not matter if you're small or big. Babies look a lot like you @brian.rrr
