Yea! President Trump Proposes to Legalize 1.8M "Dreamers" - Brilliant Political Move!
His new proposal may gain 1.8M voters to the Republicans; as the Democrats failed to provide legal acceptance and protections to these "Dreamers". Basically, he stole the thunder from the Democrats, and all previous U.S. presidents.
This proposal also recognizes that "Dreamers" contribute economically and other ways to the United States. They are employed, they pay taxes, they attend school to get educated, and consider themselves as part of the United States.

Their acceptance as U.S. citizens does not detract from the need for border controls, and employment to existing citizens. I applaud President Trump for this action, and encourage him to implement a better immigration policy.

I like your take on the issue. I am not so sure that the Dreamers will credit Trump and by proxy the Republicans with this. They seem very entrenched in the Democrat party. Thanks for writing. I enjoy reading your posts.
You are so right. They are truly entrenched in the Democratic Party. However, President Trump can sell, sell, sell the point that he is the one who gave them the legality they so desperately wanted. He can make it so they NEVER forget it. By legalizing them, he will automatically have their mailing addresses; therefore, he has the opportunity to "up-sell" them. Hey, it's better than nothing!
