If Nunes cared to stop FISA abuse, maybe he shouldn't have voted to keep letting it happen.

With all the hype surrounding the mysterious 4 page intelligence committee memo that allegedly shows FBI and Justice department abuses of the FISA surveillance program, I wanted to point out the strange timeline of events surrounding the votes to re-authorize section 702 by the house and senate and question whether some of the people who claim to be advocating to release the memo don’t really care about anything but making the other side look bad.

First of all, who wrote the memo...I saw that cnn reported that Devin Nunes wrote the memo base on classified information he’d seen. I saw another congressmen say that it was written by devin Nunes...but
Then Adam Schiff says that it was a group of republicans form the house intelligence committee...so to me it’s unclear who actually wrote the memo...Adam Schiff also said that release the memo trended because of russian bots..because apparently people adam schiff doesn’t think the american people have the ability to even pay attention to what’s going on with our government...wishful thinking.

I do agree with him on one thing though...he said people wouldn’t be understand the entirety of the situation by just seeing the emo without the underlying documents...and I agree they should release ALL of the information.

On thursday January 11...about 2 weeks ago, the house voted in favor of reauthorizing the FISA section 702, which allows exceptions for our intelligence community to spy on us citizens without a warrant.

There was a real amendment that they voted on first, that actually requires a warrant to spy on us citizens, but that Failed by the Yeas and Nays: 183 - 233

It was then supposed to go to the Senate, and Rand Paul said on Twitter that he planned to filibuster….but 2 days before the 702 vote, there was a motion to invoke cloture, which basically says you can’t debate the issue before it’s voted on.and they got enough votes to make this happen..so no filibuster.

Then, last thursday on the 18th, the senate voted in favor of passing the amended reauthorization of 702. Ironically, at the same time the house intel committee voted to allow the rest of the house of representatives see the memo.

Now, if the house intelligence committee members were voting on whether or not to let the house members see the memo, then that means they had already seen the abuses of the surveillance program...so that means Trey Gowdy saw this and he voted to against the amendment that protected our privacy and or the one that gives the intel agencies ultimate power….oh and so did Devin Nunes...you know the one who allegedly wrote the memo.
How could these people be so appalled by the abuse of the fbi and then vote to literally give them full control to spy on everybody? It just doesn’t add up.

Now apparently today the Justice department sent a letter to devin nunes today claiming that releasing the memo to the public would be dangerous because of the classified information….DANGEROUS TO WHO?
