Gun YouTube Alternatives

Now that YouTube has transformed itself into NotYouTube, many consumers and producers are looking for an alternative video home for firearms content.

Of course, YouTube's assault on nonstatist or nonliberal ideas is not limited to guns. Before outright banning content, YouTube has been social engineering with demonitizing, suspensions, and closing channels - and of course banning content for some time. But now YouTube is doubling down.

Gun enthusiasts, gun media, and gun manufacturers have a significant presence on YouTube. It makes sense to fight to keep the "franchises" producers have created, and that spirit is represented by Jorge Sprave's YouTubers Union. But in this current politicized environment, I wouldn't want all my eggs in one basket. I'd highly question having ANY of my eggs in a basket that contains a giant chicken that is crushing and kicking YOUR eggs out.

So, here are some alternative video sites for firearms content.

VIDEO STREAMING SERVICES

But first, the 800-lbs gorilla in the room:

YouTube.com
founded: 2005
owner: Alphabet, Inc. (Practically speaking, a 2015-created restructuring of Google, Inc. Still often colloquially referred to as Google.)
value: $1,200,000,000
producers: almost everyone in the gun industry (But some producers have segregated their content, because of YouTube's progressively more restrictive rules).
audience: almost everyone who Googles something or opens a webpage for that matter
pageviews, daily: 55,000,000
gun friendliness: Diminishing (Content policies have been slowly eroding the abilities of freedom-loving "franchisees" to make money from their gun and "conservative" content.)
primary sources: Wikipedia, various biz pubs, WebsiteOutlook

And now, the alternatives, starting with the ones that are all the rage for internet warriors:

Full30.com
founded: 2014
owner: Tim Harmsen (MAC owner of Military Arms Channel)
value: $25,000
producers: 40+ (spanning the responsibility spectrum from Hickok45 to Royal Nonesuch)
pageviews, daily: 11,250
audience: boutique audience , primarily looking for "banned" YouTube content. (wild speculation here)
gun friendliness: 90% (What!?! Not 100%? Well, content publishing is by "invitation" only. This is NOT the open playground for gun enthusiasts. In other words, this does not replace YouTube by any measure. Well, wait a second. LP now states that "We are opening our platform to all creators!" )
primary sources: LinkedIn, WebsiteOutlook, Full30 forum, TheTruthAboutGuns

TheGunTube.com
founded: 2017
owner: Josh Vidana (owner of SkidTactical)
value: N/A
producers: 5 (including The Firearm Rack, the new endeavour of Patrick from The Firearm Blog)
audience: gun enthusiasts looking for a YouTube alternative
page views, daily: N/A
gun friendliness: 100% (Open to users posting videos)

PornHub.com
founded: 2007
owner: Mindgeek
value: $70,850,000
producers: InRangeTV (direct link for the less adventurous. Beware: in screen pornographic porn links)
audience: Anyone willing to wade into the original money-making internet segment. (The ads might dissuade many consumers, especially in nonpermissive environments)
page views, daily: 32,350,000
gun friendliness: To be seen (InRangeTV has offered to post videos without taking any revenue. Also, this is a new frontier for gun enthusiasts).
