Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs

The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog breed traces it's lineage to an experiment conducted in 1955 in Czechoslovakia. Working line bred German Shepherds were bred with Carpathian wolves (canis lupus lupus). The plan was to create a breed that would have the temperament, pack mentality, obedience and trainability of the GSD coupled with the strength, physical build, and stamina of the Carpathian wolf.
This breed was originally engineered as attack dogs for use in military special ops with Czechoslovakian Special Forces Commandos, but then later when their superior sense of smell, hearing and sight ( they can see just as well at night as during the day) was observed, they were also used in search and rescue, tracking, agility and hunting in Europe and US.
It was officially recognised as a national breed in Czechoslovakia in 1982, and officially recognised as a breed by FCI in 1989.
So this a brief synopsis of the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog breed.
