Nice! I'll have to look into it as I've been considering moving out there. How long have you been there?
Having lived there the best part of 3 years I can give you a few realistic pointers about Chiang Mai. I left about 2 months ago. Mainly due to the pollution. Both me and my girlfriend started to show "allergy" style symptoms. She would have very bad flem in her throat and for me in my nose. As soon as we left it was gone!
If you Don't smoke or wouldn't like to damage your health that way, I'd stay well away from the actual city of Chiang Mai. The daily pollution is the equivalent of smoking 10+ cigarettes a day. Often you can barely even see the sun or the mountains that surround.
Just a few pointers if you would consider living here, it's very damaging to your health. If you feel like going for a few weeks, that's all good. It's a nice place, nice people etc!
Year and a half now, on and off.
