Don't these vulnerable, soft, squishy, breakable human beings not know to not get in the way of big important 2 ton metal vehicle traveling at high speeds?

I remember this incident from a few years ago, detailed in a BBC article.

I know there will be instances where the cyclist was at fault, but to have no compassion for another human being that you've physically damaged, while remaining unhurt yourself is frankly staggering.
