Fitness Over 50 | 18.91 miles | Is the rise in mental illness diet related?
I could not have asked for a nicer day for my 18.91 miles ride. The morning began at 29° F but soon warmed up. I felt pretty good today. This was not may fastest ride, but I did have several stops for along the way.
So much is being said about mental illness these days. It is being blamed (though not as much as guns are) for all of the violence in schools. I believe much mental illness is a spiritual problem. Some mental illness is a family problem. Mental illness is also a moral problem. Could it be that some mental illness can be attributed to the Standard American, high sugar, high carbohydrate, low fat diet?

At 59, I see myself as just entering those years. I am not as fit as I would like to be, but neither am I trying to become a superstar athlete. I am becoming more fit all the time with:
-Regular cycling,
-Frequent resistance training and
-Ketogenic/Intermittent Fast eating
are the main elements to my fitness plan.
