Zaczynamy nową serię. Oczywiście pozostajemy w tematyce rowerowej ale od troszkę innej strony. Chodzi o techniczne aspekty naszych jednośladów. Jest cała masa rzeczy, które tak na prawdę można wykonać samemu bez wydawania na serwisy. Jeżeli dysponujecie jakąś wolną chwilą to polecam grzebanie przy rowerze samemu. Jak mówiłem wcześniej wiele czynności można wykonać samemu i jak się okazuje może to też okazać się relaksujące. Na pierwszy ogień idzie łańcuch. Fabrycznie zamontowany KMC w moim Tribanie 100 wytrzymał jakieś 1000 km. Całkiem dobry wynik jak na budżetowy model. Poniżej macie zdjęcia łańcucha i pomiar wyciągnięcia.

Po pierwsze polecam zakup przymiaru do łańcucha jest to najprostszy sposób na sprawdzenie czy dany łańcuch nadaje się jeszcze do użytku. Niestety zainteresowałem się tematem jakieś 100 km za późno i już widać delikatne ślady zużycia wolnobiegu. Gdy słyszysz tarcie to już jest trochę późno na wymianę. Narzędzie kosztuje dosłownie kilkanaście zł i jest banalne w użyciu. Po prostu sprawdzamy czy przymiar mieści się w łańcuchu, jeżeli narzędzie wpada po dwóch stronach (jedna jest delikatnie krótsza) to łańcuch jest definitywnie do wymiany. Czemu należy to sprawdzać? Bo przebieg na danym łańcuchu nie zależy tylko od producenta i dystansu ale także od naszej nogi, kadencji na której jeździmy i sposobu w jaki dbamy o łańcuch. Do pełni szczęścia będziemy potrzebować jeszcze czegoś takiego

Dla amatorów polecam bardziej spinki niż piny. Prostsze rozwiązanie wg mnie. Rozpinamy łańcuch, wyjmujemy. Teraz mamy niezłe pole do popisu jeżeli chodzi o wyczyszczenie napędu z osadu smaru itp. Nakładamy nowy, spinamy (ważne żeby był kompatybilny z napędem - miał odpowiednią ilość ogniw i był dostosowany do liczby zębatek, które mamy w napędzie. ) UWAGA! Nie polecam jazdy z nowo nałożonym napędem bez odpowiedniego przygotowania. Nowe łańcuchy są całe w smarze, który zapobiega korozji. Po założeniu należy odtłuścić łańcuch, wytrzeć i naoliwić ulubionym preparatem do łańcucha. W innym przypadku będziecie łapać każdy pyłek jak lep. Nawet na szosie. Nie polecam także szejkowania całego nowego łańcucha. Pozostanie tego smaru w ogniwach na pewno przedłuży jego żywotność. U mnie zamiast KMC wjechał Schimano Alivio. Budżetowe rozwiązanie ale wydaje mi się, że nawet wytrzyma więcej niż poprzednik

I also do not recommend shaking the whole new chain. Staying this lubricant in the links will certainly prolong its life. For me, instead of KMC, Schimano Alivio entered. Thanks for this great advice! I finally bought a chain tool but I'm going to need to learn a bit more about this hands on. I should know what to do if my chain fails on the road.
