Vast amounts of these notes are no longer in circulation and seem to have gone missing.
The Government believes they have been hijacked by criminals for money laundering and wants to ban them completely.

In reality, there is a high likelihood that they are being hoarded by normal Aussies of all ages because they don't trust the banks or Government.

If your options are to get 2% or 3% interest on your money in a bank whilst giving them total control over it, or getting 0% interest by keeping under your mattress and keeping total control over it, what would your choice be???
