The real name of pool betting.
There was a humorous story that the original pioneers in pool betting actually got it registered with a target population in mind. They considered their market niche as men and women who were foolish, their letter headed paper read: "FOOL BETTING." When they saw that that their customers shun their shops, as they felt insulted, they merely changed fool to pool by altering the letter 'F' and soon the business began to boom.
