Sadness, loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities are symptoms familiar to all of us. But, if they persist and start affecting our lives- it may be depression.

Causes of depression
The causes of depression are not fully understood and may not be down to a single source. Depression is likely to be due to a complex combination of factors that include:
Genetics
Biological - changes in neurotransmitter levels
Environmental
Psychological and social (psychosocial)
Risk Factors :
Suppressed Emotions
Life events - divorce, work issues, relationships with friends and family, medical concerns
Personality - those with less successful coping strategies.
Childhood trauma.
Some prescription drugs - including corticosteroids, s, interferon, and other prescription drugs.

You dont know how super this is. Exercise is incredibly valuable.It is a Mood-boosting agonist. As little as 15 minutes of exercise - swimming/ cycling or gym can relieve and prevent the patients’ symptoms of depression
Aerobic exercise may help against mild depression since it raises endorphin levels and stimulates the neurotransmitter norepinephrine, which is related to mood.
3. Controlled blood sugar.
Sugar - The potion and the poison
Sugar is the "sugar baby" of depression than originally thought. Sugar consumption and depression rates are directly proportional. Whether fighting depression or just trying to avoid the sugar rush , balancing your blood sugar is key. Eat regular meals and snacks, including a good source of protein to avoid from danfer.

Love Yourself
With all of the above done, nothing will boost your mood like having a sense of purpose. Those who dont show symptoms of depression had a history of physical exercise, a healthy diet . Also they were involved in various hobbies. Activities that give you a sense of purpose is a way to improve your mood .
