You are right about one thing. That would make it FAIR... However like you said it may be even harder to sustain and too many with that power would give rise to people abusing the system and that may fatal to all of us.

In the world out there it is the same....

I believe that if steemit did an experiment where they made everything equal, in a very short time all the voting power will return to the minority that holds it now. As they have it for a reason.
