I noticed that you had not upvoted the posts you submitted. I think this is because @curie discourages it, right? You're not supposed to front-run their vote on posts you submit?
We are fine with it (our own upvote is still growing, and we want the posts to get all the love) so feel free to upvote before submitting.
Actually Curie is fine with us voting on them ahead of their vote. I am a creature of habit a bit too much it seems. Generally I wait until right after I submit the post to them. If I do it before it may "tip my hand" that I am going to submit it. At times if another curator sees that they may be able to submit it before I can. (Top curators have a shorter waiting period, whereas everyone else has to wait until a post is 2.5 hours old to submit.) And while a vote on a post doesn't necessarily say "I claim this and am going to submit it", at times it can indicate that. I guess at times I wind up forgetting to go back and upvote a post once I decide it might not be accepted for some reason. Also, I generally go back and resteem a post after it is accepted. I wait for that because if a post breaks the $10 mark before it is reviewed it can be marked "Closed" and is no longer eligible for acceptance.
For instance, the five posts here - the first three have had Curie votes "recently" - two of which I got for them. The 4th post's author had shared a couple of the photos on her Instagram account more than a week prior to this post. She did however post one since then with brand new pics that DID get the Curie vote. And the fifth one in nature doesn't fit within the guidelines.
Basically though, I just got wrapped up in everything else I was doing, and saved the links to submit to you and never got back to it to vote.
That makes sense, thank you for explaining.
We have a limit on the rewards they can already have too, but ours is much higher. Partially that's because we only publish once a day and sometimes it's a couple of days before we can publish a submission.
