My post is #1 on the list. That's interesting. Actually, I didn't expect it to earn as much as it has, since not everyone with big power on Steemit really cares about helping newbies and minnows personally. Fortunately, some do.

Thanks. Yeah, it really does feel good to get some support for helping others. What the newbies/minnows of today experience on Steemit lays the foundation for the future success of the platform.
Steemit is already successful, but it will be even more so a year from now, if we provide support not only on a broad policy level but on a personal level as well.
The new linear rewards scheme is probably the best we will have it as far as having "equal say" goes, and so now it comes down to making connections and sacrificing some personal gain for the greater good by supporting our new members in a more direct, personal way, imo.
