Preppers' Curation Day- Weekly Edition 19
Prepping Curation
There are many posts and curation pages displaying a wide array of topics, but yet have I discovered one solely dedicated to prepping, preppers and survival; and if there was one before I have not seen an update in months. So, in my endeavors to curate more topics under the main umbrella of homesteading, self-reliance, off-grid living and more, I will be doing a weekly post every Monday dedicated to preppers.
Topics I will be searching for include (but not restricted to):
- Prepping
- Survival
- Self-reliance
- Self-sustainability
- Bushcrafting
- Food prepping
- Protection (of home, family and possessions)
- DIY Health
- 2nd Amendment concerns
- Gear and supplies
- Skills & DIY Instructions
Now keeping in mind these posts will be written by other steemians, considered good quality and not plagiarized.
When I find new posts in the above mentioned topics that meet criteria I desire the posts to have, I will post in upcoming Preppers Curation Day Weekly Editions and let the author know of the sharing and curation.
I will be looking through the Preppers Discord group and channels and taking recommendations from fellow preppers in the same group and community.
Pennsif's Progress #619 - Why do I prep - Pennsif's Personal SHTF Scale by @pennsif
I have been a prepper all my adult life.
It started with watching Terry Nation's never bettered BBC TV series 'Survivors' in late 1970's.
I grabbed a copy of Richard Mabey's Food For Free book and I was up and running.
In various ways, and to various levels, I have kept on prepping ever since.
Over the last decade or so, as I have got older and the earth has got rougher, my prepping has been accelerating at an ever faster pace.
Moving to our homestead at the turn of the century was a hyper-catalyst on our prepping journey.
The independence, the isolation and the insulation that our homestead provides is a critical key on our path to self-reliance
My Motives for Preparedness. Hint: It's not DoomsDay by @sir-thrive
Why I Am a Prepper and Proud Of It
During my military career, it was ingrained in me to be prepared for anything, all the time. I cannot count the times I had to listen to suffering due to other soldiers forgetting important items. So, I spent hours upon hours packing and re-packing bags to ensure I had everything required and even some niceties. I guess I have always preferred to sur-thrive instead of just survive

The Worst Case Scenario No Longer Is One | Re-Learning the Basics of Life on Earth featuring "Primitive Technology" by @paradigmprospect
We live in times where we have gotten completely used to the benefits of our modern technology, some might say we have even become dependent on it.
Too many people the mere idea of going out into nature for a few weeks without hot running water, an electric stove and or a telephone will cause outright panic, and I have experienced this for myself the first time I went to visit a rainbow gathering where there are no flushing toilets, no refrigerators and no electric lights built into the walls. There are no walls either^^ Just handmade craftsmanship and skill to tackle the basic requirements of living in nature
Hi @goldendawne, I wonder if you would be interested in being interviewed for my Steemit Voices series, designed to encourage healthy thinking and choices? Let me know and I will get questions to you (no deadline, take your time).
Hi Dawne, many thanks for featuring my post. It's good to get back into prepping posts again.
