Archdruid Gaming: Author Showcase Issue 12

in #curation6 years ago

Have a wonderful weekend to all the gamers out there. What happened to this week? I’m not quite sure myself. Friday was gone in an instant. This week I bring you quite a variety of different kinds of content. There is everything from someone giving a game a second chance to video playthrough series with some great banter. We have some more seasoned content creators to one just getting a start as well. A decent balanced one this week so I hope you find a new gamer to follow!

Author 1

volderhein.png

@Volderhein is one of those authors who much rather focus on quality over quantity. He spends quite a lot of time planning, writing, and revising his next masterpiece. As such you can expect something around once a week from him on average as of late.

He is great at following a theme and telling an amazing story with it. This can be seen in his entry into a contest called Emotional Game Moments. He shares with us a story about friendship and training for a tournament. Then it goes into a very emotional moment in the heat of it all about his friend. The great thing about gaming is you can just watch someone else try and go all the way and still have a great time and experience to take with you from it.

Author 2

thegarbageman.png

@Thegarbageman has been doing a lot of live streams as of late. Many gamers have caught the No man Sky bug with the last major patch the developers put out. On top of that, he writes some sci-fi stories as well on the side. His main attraction is the gaming reviews he puts out on occasions.

All of his live streams were a lead up to his final verdict on No Man’s Sky in the form of a gaming review. In his typical garbage man style of humor, he has some fun with it. Is it time for gamers to stop waving pitchforks and accept the NEXT patch as the saving grace this game has needed for far too long now? Will his Xbox catch on fire while playing it? Well, you will have to read to find out.

Author 3

cancermage.png

@Cancermage is the new kid on the block. He joined the community due to one of our reaches out programs into the realm of League of Legends. He had no idea what Steemit was before joining discord. He just wanted to find some gamers to team up with. He is not the first to join our community and let curiosity get the best of him! That is the wonder of gaming you can onboard in interesting ways!

He has a very interesting approach to showcasing just how amazing a game like Elite Dangerous can be. He breaks things down into different sections and provides outstanding depth of detail. The reader is taken on a bit of a journey on the page as they drill down deeper and deeper. From his start of awkwardly trying to dock at the start to mastering an understanding of mapping and other features, the game has to offer.

Author 4

orkin420.png

@Orkin420 is a video content creator who publishes on multiple platforms. The great thing is he provides his socials including Steemit profile link on other platforms. This is one great way for gamers to spread the word and make it easy for people to find a platform they can support content creators they enjoy on. I don’t think I’ve seen a video where he did not have some kind of crazy hat!

His recent video is filled with personality that is befitting of the hats he wears. In his playthrough of Farcry 5, you can see he creates some great banter with what is going on in the scene. He reacts like he himself is the character in the game and you can see him talking and reacting with NPCs or other things going on. When he is not doing that he can often be heard explaining what he is thinking and what he is trying to accomplish.

Author 5

retroroom.png

@Retro-room lives up to his blogs name and then some. While he is very focused on gaming-related topics he has been expanding his blogs horizon as of recent. Everything from supporting a new game that is called Steem Heroes to podcasting and anime reviews as well.

Keeping true to his blog he wrote a review this week on a game he played on the Nintendo Switch called Thimbleweed Park. In it, he explores this adventure style of game. He goes over everything from the games crowdfunding beginnings. While also sharing his thoughts on having to switch characters and the complexity that can cause among other game mechanics. The great thing is at the end he gave you a score and lets you know what kind of person might enjoy this kind of game.

I've saw your posts about PoE competition experience. Looks like a cool game

It is also free to play and they outdo D3 at every tern. Every few months we get a new league that has a new mechanic in it. This time around it is Delve a underground mine that you get to explore. I've not made it very far yet. I been slacking a bit!

If I ever find time to explore a new game, perhaps will have to give it a try haha

The family Archdruid is characterized for authors of good quality manage. Always producing original content, while they amuse themselves in the process.
