During these times when the value of SBD is above $10 - and STEEM over $7 - every upvote has a huge value: with the 50/50 post rewards an upvote of $2 dollars, for example, is actually worth over $10 dollars + the STEEM power.

Recently I got 4.662 SBD, and 1.506 STEEM POWER as author rewards from my freewrite/short fiction I wrote: The Conspiracy of Guinea Pigs. Large proportion of the rewards were thanks to @gentlebot whose upvote was worth close $10! With the 4.662 SBD I was able to buy over 15 SP which is quite a lot for minnow like me.

Another time I got rewarded big time was when I wrote an fiction story entry for steemit-virus creativity contest whose objective was to just write anything based on this picture. It got my creative juices flowing and to this date it's among my favorite pieces I've written here on Steemit. I ended being the second in the contest winning 5 SBD, at the time when it was still $1 each, but even bigger surprise was an upvote worth of $60 dollars from the one and only, @blocktrades. I was in disbelief; It came out of nowhere!

I'm not very consistent in any typical genre - except lately the 5 Minute #Freewriting - here on Steemit; I've hustled pretty much with everything from poetry, fiction, blogging, articles, memes and little crypto, philosophy and film as a spice. Haven't made videos in Dtube yet but that'll soon change ;)

It's very cool to have a chance to be rewarded for content creation even if it's not very consistent and specialized, regardless that building an audience would be "easier" with a more targeted, consistent, or so, content creation. Well, at least a more conventional way but I would get bored with that approach so I'm kind of a mystery box that has many unexpected tricks under its cover.

So every curator, whale, dolphin and a minnow - not to forget @minnowsupport - has my appreciation for taking an interest in my peculiar and others' undervalued content. Your work and support means a lot to people like me!
