RE: The MAP Trail Curation Contest - Delegated SP and Free Upvotes - Week 2
Hi @veryspider, you're exactly the kind of "hidden curator" I'd like to support; "hidden" in the sense that your curation work is not really obvious from your blog and comments.
The more people sign up here from @c-squared, the better picture I have of who is doing what!
I have added you to the MAP Curator Trail on SteemAuto and will add you to the draw for the delegated SP once this post expires.
Aaah thank you so much !!! I try to resteem the ones that I think I have covered too much through c-squared so in a way I make sure that they are still 'boosted' haha, but yeah, you are right, the bulk of my curation work is the 'hidden' type.... :> I dont mind ! The most important thing to me is that I'm doing what I want to be doing and that is, curating and helping the blockchain improves its quality content generators :>
Thank you so much for driving initiatives like this, though ! Every little bit helps and I think you are doing very valuable stuff for Steemit :> The minnows and new users retention are particularly an important life blood for the platform, I think. The more we can help the growth of adoption of new users, the better the entire platform is going to be...
Anyway, enough ramblings from me hahaha~ Thanks again and let me know if I can do more on my end :>
The issue of retention is important and somewhat related to curation and community support.
You go to a funfair and see the big prizes; you win a little prize and look down at it, disappointed. Few figure out that winning the big prizes probably costs more than the prize is worth; they just look at their little prize as the absence of the big one. People are deeply weird! :-)
BTW you have a fan in @scrawly, and I'll ask the same question: at the end, would it be fun for those nominated to vote for each other, or is it "cleaner" to just do a random roll as before?
I personally think there are pros and cons of both approaches. But if I must choose I think it is always nice to give people a chance to appreciate each other. It will also give other people observing the conversation opportunities to read and get to know who's who, here on Steemit :>
