🐼 GREEK FESTIVALS IN CYPRUS

This is my friend in Cyprus - we've known each other for a long time and she has shown me many interesting places in Cyprus.

Our friends Costa and @patrickm invited us to a Festival in the mountains. It was a most wonderful experience.

6th - 9th April next year is the Greek Easter. This is another big holiday for the Greek people - one of the traditions is the red eggs. Eggs are boiled and dyed with food colouring and then crack them against each other (much like the Christmas tradition of pulling crackers). The person who has the last remaining egg that has not cracked can make a special wish.

I am still learning all the time - but one thing I know - the Greek people have very warm hearts and there is a lovely spirit amongst them. I am happy that my late father gave me my greek heritage.
