Seine Trawl, Environmentally Friendly to Catch Fish

Fishermen looking for fish using seine trawlers in Gampong Jawa, Banda Aceh Indonesia. This tool is a way to catch fish in an environmentally friendly.

Seine trawl is a fishing gear made from a net and at the end there is a pocket where the fish are collected.

This work is usually done in groups of pliers consisting of 20 men and a boat carrier to spread trawling offshore.

Fishing locations in this way should only be done on sandy beaches and regulated under local customary law.

But trawling has a shortage, the catch is very limited only fish that live in coastal areas only.
