Every country has its own celebrations or traditions, so does Bolivia. Recently, Bolivians reportedly celebrated Skull Day. This tradition is carried out with the aim of bringing good luck and protection by honoring the dead.
The tradition or celebration of Skull Day in Bolivia itself is called atitas. The skull was decorated and paraded into the cemetery a week after celebrating All Saint's Day. In fact, some of them are decorated with sunglasses, cigarettes and flowers, to colorful hats.
"We come to ask or devotees come here to ask for the help they want, especially asking for the health and welfare of the family," said Angel Aduviri, as one of the people who also celebrated the day.
