The Perfect Trace of the Eternal Love, Ghilasangsa Buddhist Temple 1
20170818
Yesterday I posted on the eternal but saddest love between a genius poet and beautiful-intellectual Ghisaeng Kim Hanyoung.
After seperation, Kim Hanyoung starede to run hig-quality traditional restaurant. The restaurant what she had run was a very special for it’s quality. The important political and diplomatic meetings had been held often in that kinds of restaurant. Her restaurant was very successful. With running the restaurant, she had studied the english literature in the University. Later she published the essays including academic subjects.
She was deeply touched in Buddhism in her old age. It could’ve affected her hope to complete her karma with the Poet Baek Seok at next life.
My cousin guided me to the Temple, Ghilsangsa which was located in Seongbookdong of very rich area.
It was first time for me to visit the Ghilangsa Temple, even thouhg I had wanted to visit for long time.
The portal was very colourful.
In the left of the portal, the Jijangjeon was located in. The Jijangjeon is usually dealing with the next world.
Walking along the road, I could the bell tower.
Next to the bell tower, there was a main building of this temple.
The front view of the main building.
Here I noticed a strange thing in this temple. The colour was not painted in this temple. The coloured building is a symbol of the Buddhist Temple.
But nothing was painted in this temple.
I was very curious the reason why. But there I couldn’t find someone to ask for.
I made up my mind to leave my question not to be solved to make a reason for visiting temple once again.
One more question was raised to me on the name of main building. Usually the main building of the Buddhist temple was almost fixed as a Dae Woong Jeon”. I had posted on that several times before.
But the name of this main building was a “Geuk Rak Jeon” which has the meaning of the paradise.
Inside of the Geuk Rak Jeon was as same as other temples
There was a gate to somewhere special place.
There was a shrine for Kim Hanyoung cross the road.(continued)

Rinai rain wet me
Accompany the quiet settling
When I remember you
And all that sweet moment
Everything is like a dream
I live my own life
If time changes
I still will not change
I always happy
when it rains
Because I can remember you
For myself ooohhh ..ooo
There is always a story
Stored in my heart
About you and the rain
About our love
That flows like water
I always happy
when it rains
Because I can remember you
For myself ooohhh ..ooo
I can smile all day
Because the rain once held you here
For me ooohhh ...
Thank you so much

Another lovely post, @slowwalker, continuing the saga of Kim Hanyoung and the Poet, Baek Seok.
I found it interesting that the part of the temple dealing with the afterlife, The Jijangjeon, was named Paradise and that right across the road from this temple was a shrine for Kim Hanyoung.
I agree with you that she probably hoped to be re-united with Baek Seok in Paradise.
I also thought it interesting that this lovely Geisha became a specialist in English Literature and wrote many academic papers. It seems she devoted her life to Baek Seok, even pursuing his interests.
The photos were lovely, @slowwlker, and you managed to capture the air of mystery surrounding this pair of star-crossed lovers.
A beautiful post, my friend.
Thank you as always
I always enjoy reading about your walking adventures
My mind feels peaceful and calmed. Love to visit someday.
I will wait for your visit
