From what I have seen, these are concepts that many foreigners living inside China have trouble understanding. You know, foreigners who look around them and go, "That's not how we do things in the USA." Um, right, you're in China and not the USA. I think a lot of foreigners would be more happy if the put a little more effort into actually understanding where they actually live. So, in that regard, great post! Thanks =)
Of course the same could be said for Chinese living in the West. But you are right, I think we all just need to understand each other's cultures some more, it's always fascinating seeing misunderstandings on things that seem so trivial to the local people.
