Corn Lady in Yangon
We were walking on the streets of Yangon under the scorching summer heat in 2017. We saw countless pigeons flocking in front of a Hindu Temple - on the street, fence, electric wires. This lovely woman makes this possible, selling corn and seedlings for tourists and temple goers to feed the birds. The Hindu religion has revered pigeons throughout history and depicted them with various deities. Are you familiar why?
