Oh yea, my wife and I've been doing all those packets bit by bit each night. Get a note, slot it in a packet, flip down one end of the packet and seal it. I've been repeating that for some 20 minutes each night throughout this week with loads of packets to fill.
If you are in London or a bigger city with more Chinese, I'm sure you can feel that joy or probably you'll see some lion dance parades over the street.
Importance of Chinese new year can be understood as that being equivalent to Christmas or Thanksgiving.
