The magic Hindu culture

This is known to be one of the most vibrant and mystical cultures that still exist. This absorbed trends from neighboring countries, thus creating that heterogeneous culture, and all these can be seen reflected in gastronomy, custom, architecture, art and even religion. It became one of the most interesting countries in the world to visit, and opens its doors to millions of tourists.


Religión


Hinduism consists of 4 religions mainly, and make up 80% of the population and which are:

  1. El Sijismo: (1.7%)
  2. El Jainismo: (0.4%)
  3. El Budismo: (0.7%)
The last religion is known as Gujarat and it is located in northwestern India and is characterized because its diet is based only on food fallen from the trees.


Other religions that are present and complete the other 20% are:

  1. El Islam: (14%)
  2. El Cristianismo:(2.3%)

Hindu fashion
This varies to the location where you are and its function, and in this there are many known, such as the Shari which is a seamless fabric with which women cover their body and the Dhoti for men that can be a fabric of cotton that can reach up to 5 meters which is used as pants in case of men.

Rakhi: A traditional bracelet that symbolizes love, something like the wedding ring.



The bindi: It is used elaborated with sandalwood and is used as a sign of social status.



The dowry

It is one of the most cruel aspects of this culture, which is an amount that parents must pay with their daughter, at the time of delivery to her husband. If the husband demands more money, the parents must accede, since a woman is considered a bad fortune in this culture.

Curious customs

Apart from being one of the countries with a very interesting culture, you also have strange customs such as:

  1. Sati: It is a ritual that the government tried to avoid, which consists in the delivery of the widowed wife to the stake in which the husband was incinerated
  2. Marriages of children with animals (and trees): In order to remove the evil eye.
  3. The Carnival of the Cows (or Gopastami): In this one cleans and adorns all the cattle of India in representation of respect.
Tourism:
Taj Mahal: 17th century marble mausoleum, a mosque and beautiful gardens


Ganges: The Ganges River is an Asian river that flows between the nations of Bangladesh and India.

 

Fuerte Amber: Construction began in 1592 on ruins of other buildings and has been receiving renovations for over 150 years and has become one of the most visited sites.



Red Fort of Delhi: It is considered so because of the color it has, product of the sandstone with which it was built.


Thekkady: This is an animal refuge, in which you can appreciate different species.


Havelock Island: It is an island near Thailand, perfect for diving and appreciate various species that it offers

 

Kanha National Park: In this national park, the main attraction, are the various tigers that can be easily observed and very close



Dudsagar Waterfalls: They are located in Goa and are one of the largest in India.


Fort Kochi: Very little known, these are left to the south of India, where you can appreciate its exotic culture.


Akshardham: It is a complex of Hindu temples in New Delphi.


New Delphi Lotus Temple: So called because of its design. This is a cult site.
