The Arabs in Europe

Quite few places in the European continent were under the Arabs rules in the past.

The main places I got the luck to visit and that because these old rules, got a peculiar beauty in my opinion are surely, Sicily in Italy and the whole Portugal.

Knowing this fact is always a great pleasure for me when I stumble upon something so typically Arab in its core but so out of contest, that is looks like a forgotten past.

Both photos are from Portugal, and they are so clearly from Arab origins but at the same time nowadays so far from that culture and lifestyle, that really let me think how dynamic and mutable our life, culture and world are.
