Sinulog Festival Goes Live in YouTube
Hello Steemit friends especially to my fellow Filipinos and Cebuanos who are celebrating the Sinulog Festival in Cebu City today! Unfortunately I will not be there to celebrate it with friends or family there because of personal reasons but I am so glad I will be able to watch the celebration through YouTube.

Sinulog Festival is a Catholic and cultural tribute festival to Señor Santo Niño de Cebu or the Holy Child Jesus Christ for all the blessings the people have received from Him. It is one of the most popular festivals in the Philippines and is annually held every 3rd Sunday of January. Majority of the Filipinos are Christians especially Catholics and Cebu is the cradle of Christianity in the country. It is also the very reason why Sinulog in Cebu is one of the biggest festival.
The original statue of Señor Santo Niño given by the Portuguese Captain Ferdinand Magellan is also housed in the Basilica Minore del Sto Niño. Its location is near the famous cross erected by the Spaniards and is called the Magellan's Cross. Source Here
