Since hundred years ago, Sumba women have been adept to make Ikat fabric hereditarily. In their culture, Ikat has very important position. In addition of being daily clothes, Ikat has also become an important property in Sumba traditional ceremonies and also used as a medium of exchange commerce or payment of the fine.
