SAROK FESTIVAL and 98th Founding Anniversary of Consolacion. :)
"Sarok" is a type of hat worn by farmers in the old days in consolacion. It is made of bamboo strips and banana leaves. Sarok festival and foundation day of consolacion is celebrated every 14th day of February. Every year as apart of the celebration student from different schools here in Consolacion participate in a contest of dance. Beautiful costumes and choreography that represents values of us cebuano.
These Festivals are something that we Filipinos are very proud of. The festivals here in the Philippines are fun and enjoyable even with foreign people. It is due to the Hospitality and Friendliness that is natural to us Filipinos.
Festivals are part of the lives of Filipinos it is one the ways for us to show our gratitude, and thanks to our Lord and our ancestors.
