My delight for the Old Egypt
I've always been delighted by the Old Egypt known as the Pharaoh country. They were the only absolute rulers. In the life of the Egyptians, religion played a very important role. Their master was the sun god Amon-Ra and all pharaohs were considered his sons.
The pyramid is painted with wall paintings that tell a lot about life in ancient Egypt. Interestingly, these paintings are depicted by peasants and fishermen at work, religious ceremonies, battle and, naturally, scenes from the life of the dead. The Egyptians believed in life after death and therefore wanted to preserve the bodies of the dead for the possible return of the soul. The bones were coated with special fats and wrapped in long bead curls. So the bodies were mummified and could have been preserved for thousands of years. The remains of individual Egyptian rulers or pyramids are a unique example in the history of mankind. It is interesting that in the balsaming of the dead, the brain can be removed as well as the internal organs, and the body is filled with powder of ruin and other fragrances. In order to extract water from it, 70 days they were kept in the sodium salt. Eventually the body was wrapped in bandages. The mummy lay in a wooden coffin and in a stone sarcophagus. So even now we can look at the faces of former great rulers.
My favorite Pharaoh is certainly Pharaoh Ehnaton, it's called also Amenofis. His widow Nofretet was very famous for her beauty. Ehnaton tried to instill faith in the new and single god, but his reforms were later overruled.
In the late period, women appeared on the throne. The most famous one, and to me the most favorite is Cleopatra. She later married the Romans of Marc Anthony. She is known for the suicide she had committed in order to save her dignity. Unfortunately to Cleopatra, Egypt was conquered by a Roman emperor August, and since then, the Roman Emperor was an Egyptian pharaoh.
