USAGE
This adage is used to provoke deeper thinking when faced with a dilemma. It is often recited while in a confusing situation that begs for way out.
FURTHER EXPLANATION
Many times in life we are faced with situations that seems like there is not going to be a way out, oftentimes though, these situations naturally resolve themselves.
Personally, when I’m faced with situations where I think there is no way out, I allow my fear factor to first subside, then I will think about options available in such an impossible situation, and be sure I have really tried putting things in perspective, after which I’ll go for the options that can make the worst case a little better and wait for the event to unfold, while praying to whom I believe in.

This is a very thought provoking quote, so often in life we will face situations that seem impossible or beyond our control. I think you present a very commendable solution, when every other possible avenue has been investigated all we can do is pray and hope that it will be resolved.
