For verily mother is more precious than gold
Oh, an irreplaceable gem
Which shines and sparkle
In the darkest days of life

Soothing our deepest pains
Anchoring us safe through the raging winds of life
That we may glow in crystal gold

Iya'ni wura iye'biye, iya ko'se fowo ra
Mothers are irreplaceable gem
O'loyun mi fo'su me'san
She nurtured me in her womb for 9 months
O pon'mi fun odun meta
And backed me for three years (a typical way Yoruba women carry there babies)
Iya mi mo ki'o ku ise o
Mom I appreciate you for anchoring me through life.
