Very important topic. Current in both the real and the virtual world.
Actions based on pre conceived notions (usually overgeneralizations) about certain groups, will always be problematic.
People would rather be safe than sorry.
Unfortunately, the reiteration of certain behaviors from certain demographic groups strenthens our apprehensions and judgements.
It is hard to trust or be relaxed around a guy who looks like a malandro, even though we know now that the agression can come from just about anyone.
That's right. Preconceived notions do harm. While it is true that no one can make us feel inferior without our consent, some social groups play games and use discrimination to manipulate. I remember that the late Chávez played with the feeling that discrimination produces: resentment. And look at the trap we're in. In the 21st century we are burdened with old and trivial problems. Sad
