Very interesting story and history of King Cheoljong. Your story shows us that it is hard to be taken out of our youthful roots and forget it all.
The young king wasn't groomed to fit into the position of a king.
The youthful training that we experience in our childhood molds
us in many ways. It can be good or bad.
And each individual is different too. Some people are able to adapt to a changing environment. For others. It is more difficult.
The young king apparently didn't adapt very well, it would seem to me.
