-There is a greeting for any occasion:If you are going out, coming back from work or market, plaiting your hair ,getting married, cooking, sitting, standing.Just name the occasion, they have a greeting for it.

-Celebration: They are jovial people .They love parties. Name the occasion they are ready to spend in partying. Weddings, graduations, birthdays ceremonies, burials .With their love for choosing fabrics (ankara or lace) as uniforms(aso ebi).
This uniform is so important that wearing it gets you gifts and special attention when item 7 comes up.
There is this saying in yoruba that means "if you do not wear ankara,no meal for you".

Herbal medicine: I am proud of the way they have promoted their herbal mixtures and cures over the years from one generation to the other.
There is herbal mixture that is given to pregnant women to aid easy delivery.
And the unripe pawpaw mixture cures jaundice.

Leaves: They make use of different types of leaves for treatments of different kinds of ailments. There are leaves used to bath babies to cure their rash or fever.
Soap:The black soap does wonders.Cures skin rash for both adults and children.
Powder:There is this locally made powder(moju) used for babies. It prevents and cures rash. This powder works faster than some of the big names powders at the market.

Cream:They have their cream mixtures. With leaves, palm oil and shea butter which gives the skin a natural glow.Good for babies and adults.Better than the chemicals in our beauty creams.lol

Although, people are skeptical about using this herbal mixture probably because it is not scientifically backed. But am proud of the rich medicinal talents among the yoru as. This is African medicine and our methods are African.
Thumbs up to the Yorubas!Proudly Nigerian!Proudly African!
