The structure consists of a large rectangular base tower 75 meters high, which is composed mainly of concrete and steel, with an internal elevator and a clock at the top.

La obra fue diseñada por el arquitecto venezolano Fruto Vivas y posee la forma de una orquídea, flor nacional de nuestro país; la característica mas llamativa de la obra es que conforme avanza el día, los pétalos de la flor ascienden o descienden, imitando el movimiento de una orquídea real.
