Treasure of Tianjin Museum（II）天津博物院镇馆之宝(II)

Dear steemians , today I will introduce the treasure that I saw in the Museum of Tianjin, it’s also my favourite - Jadeite cabbage grasshopper.

It uses the material of natural and different color , make carved Chinese cabbage, two grasshopper and a mantis. They look vivid and lively .

Because Chinese cabbage has the same pronunciation as BaiCai , it also has a “blessing of wealth” . It means money comes in . in Chinese old saying “Chinese cabbage and tofu means security and peace" . So the jade cabbage also represents peace and health.

Moreover, white help green cabbage, or pupe symbol, meaning collectors indifferent to fame and wealth and elegant integrity, to be honest, China since ancient times, there are many jade cabbage art.

You see, the cabbage on fertilizer and areca grasshopper a mantis, how vivid? They like eating leaves while they are climbing , true to life. Vegetables and insects vitality due to caress feelings, the viewer is ingenious, greatly!

清 翡翠蝈蝈白菜 高 19.4 厘米 宽 14 厘米

它利用材质的天然成色差异，巧作雕成白菜，两只蝈蝈和一只螳螂。鲜活灵动，工艺技巧高超，生趣盎然。

白菜因有着“百财”的谐音，有着祝福财源广进的意思，而中国民间自古就有“白菜豆腐保平安”的说法，翠玉白菜也代表着平安与健康。

而且，白帮绿叶的白菜，还是清清白白的象征，寓意收藏者淡泊名利和高雅的气节，做人要清清白白，堂堂正正。因此，中国自古以来就有了许多翠玉白菜的艺术品。

民国时期有一个盗墓大案震惊全国。据说当时孙殿英从慈禧墓中盗出无数宝贝，包括一只翡翠蝈蝈白菜。

一直到现在没人知道到底是哪一棵。目前大家所知出名的清代蝈蝈白菜一共两只，另外一只在台北故宫博物馆保存。

而大家多年来都把那一棵认作是慈禧的最爱，而近年来故宫博物馆专家对于故宫清档的研究发现，台北故宫博物馆那棵是道光皇帝的爱赏之物，而权倾一时的慈禧，当时敢不敢动祖宗的东西大家都不清楚，所以这棵白菜的身世还是一团迷案。

您瞧， 这棵大白菜上的一对肥的大腹蝈蝈和一只螳螂，多么生动形象？它们好像在边爬边啃菜叶，栩栩如生。蔬菜和草虫的生命活力引起观者的爱抚情愫，构思巧妙，令人赞叹不已！
