Evidence of Aceh-Turkish Relations Part II
Indrapatra fort became one of Turkey's relations with Aceh several centuries ago. This can be seen from the structure of well-dome-equipped buildings, typical of the Turkish Othman building.
Then, the shape of the horseshoe structure in the second fortress of Indrapatra, presumed to be a cannon shelter, also shows the typical of Turkish Othman building culture.
So also with the canal that surrounds the fort. Such structures are only found in typical European and Central Asian defense buildings. As is known, in his time, the Othmanic Turkish Caliphate covered the two regions. In fact, the territory of the present-day Turkey is also in two continents: Asia and Europe.
Another allegation that strengthens the relationship between Turkey and Aceh in the past is the raw material for the fortress of Indrapatra. Deddy Satria, one of Aceh archeologists, said that the raw materials used in the structure of Indrapatra fortress are ancient cement, in the form of burnt and smoothed shell, special adhesive, and stone structure in the fort, identical to Turkish Othman building style.
