Introduction
As an African writer and a person who loves this place, i have been looking at the different African tribes and the ancient traditions. In doing this, i try to bring out my continent so that it can be known to every body. My main focus on the African continent is to make it known to the outside world. This continent has been believed to have been in darkness for the past centuries but the time has come for the truth to be revealed to the entire globe. As i had said in the previous writings about our continent, culture and rituals are normally symbolic or for social status and also for an age of advancement.

In Africa, there are various tribes and rituals as well as tradition of the people and the most common of them are found in East Africa, sub Saharan region and the southern part of Africa. We all come from different tribes and traditions but i have to say there are those rituals which have left the world in shock and we shall be looking at them in the next segment of this write up.

Cultures and rituals

1. Masai Marah of Kenya and some part of Tanzania
This kind of tribe shrives in Kenya and some parts of Tanzania in East Africa and this the most feared tribe in the East African region and this tribe has fierce rituals which you cannot just wake up and jump onto them because of the fear. The ritual in this tribe is that if you to be considered a man, you have to put down a lion using only a spear as a tradition tool and not these guns of the modern hunting tools. So to get the title of Morah, a young man has to do that in their tradition and culture i.e. rituals. In this tribe, there also rituals for piercing ears and making very big holes and later filled with beads. This is part of their dressing and embrace their thing. These people are very tall and typical warriors in Africa

2. Wife inheritance
This is a common ritual in Africa where women are given away to the brother of the deceased man. In doing this, it will be protecting the race not be messed up. In African tradition, there were no widows because of inheritance of wives by the brothers. This had been a common practice till the end of the 19th century though it some how persisted in other communities but this on another side was dangerous especially in the spread of diseases. Many communities have done away with it because of the HIV/AIDS prevalence on the African continent. I will talk about it in detail in the next write up on this subject and we shall know the origin of it all.

3. Puff Adder in the mouth, its a sooth saying
This kind of ritual is performed in South Africa by the Zulu tribe in the way of healing their effort to bring back or restore life to a person. This is done by spitting in a bowl of different people as commanded by the leader known as the Sangoma their tradition leader. This is clearly showed in the 2001 movie tilted ''Blazinvy Saman''. In this tribe and their cultures, women are commonly seen with bear chest with breasts wide open for the public, their is hardly any privacy. This is also witnessed in the song by the late Brenda Fascie a great female musician for that nation and was of the same tribe.

4. African bull fighting
This practice is becoming so common in East Africa normally among the Luhya and this involves head to head with the bull and no protection is provided, it is a very fierce and involved bloodshed which has led to many death of many people during the ceremonies. I also don't know why such rituals which put people in serious trouble are still being carried out in our traditions.

5. Sex practices
This a common in my country Uganda where i live and among the tribes i come from. The Baganda tribe encourage young boys or men to go on sleeping with different women inorder to become real men. This is called okusajalata in the local language. This practice seems enjoyable but it associated with a spirit of lust and this has engulfed the entire nation and even other surrounding tribes. This has led to the rapid spread of HIV/AIDS and now its claiming lives.

6. Female circumcision
This kind of ritual i have witnessed this in my very country where a tribe called the Sabin from far Eastern Uganda have been going on with this kind of ritual for now centuries. A woman is taken for circumcision for the purpose of becoming areal woman but this has affected their sex life because of the sensitive areas where they cut. This has ruined their sex life and it has been considered so bad. I personally i hate it and i wish you draw your feeling towards this act. It is extreamly horrible and unhuman that is what i have to say. For men it is okay because atleast it has a biblical back up from the life of Abraham when he was told to go and circumcise himself and all other people and all young boys below 8 days after being born.

7. Blood water beverage
This is a ritual perfomed by the Masai and Samburu tribes located in kenya and Tanzania respectively. These people prefer giving a visitor blood mixed with milk from a live animal. These things seem to be conspiracies but these things are going in the communities mentioned above.

Finally, we have diverse cultures and rituals in Africa but there those which weigh more than the other especially when it comes to the spirituality in which they are rooted. This shows the magnitude of evil surrounding these rituals and this is typical deception spoken about by the Apostle John and Jesus in Matthew 24:....

Therefore take heed that you are not swept away by such beliefs, these things don't count anything in the kingdom of light. I encourage my fellow brethren to respond to the auction of the Spirit and don't succumb to wrong things.

I LOVE MY CONTINENT AFRICA
