The unique musician, Louis Armstrong, is responsible for the unflagging popularity of these songs. You probably know that he was one of the greatest American jazz trumpeters and vocalists. He was distinguished by the style of playing the trumpet and jazz vocalist, to which he introduced singing scat. He played a significant role in the history of jazz.

He was born in 1901, of course in New Orleans. He quickly quit school and joined a group of boys playing popular songs on the streets. When he turned 11 he earned his first instrument - a cornet on which he himself learned to play. Then the young musician came under the wings of "King" Oliver who became a mentor for him and led him along the music path. He learned from Bunk Johnson, Buddy Petit and Joe "King" Oliver. His nicknames "Satchmo" or "Pops" became popular. When the trumpeter was 20 years old, he came to Chicago and was already familiar with the theory and practice of musical craft, he was able to improvise very well by putting his whole body and emotions in it. Later, Armstrong decided to develop his music and talent in a new environment, away from the influence of "King", at the same time turned the cornet for trumpet, he also sang more often during performances. In 1925 he recorded his first works, and in 1927 he founded his own group, Louis Armstrong & His Stompers, which even appeared on the American charts, his songs were loved by the whole of America, the musician also went on tour around Europe. After the Second World War, Armstrong disbanded his orchestra and formed a new group, The All Stars, which debuted in Los Angeles in 1947. At that time the trumpeter recorded almost constantly, interrupting work only for a different job - he appeared in over 30 films, and from 1948 the musician was almost always on tour, often in duet with Ella Fitzgerald, he didn't stop working despite his deteriorating health, and finally Armstrong died of a heart attack in 1971 at the age of 69, month before his 70 birthday. He was buried in the Flushing Cemetery in New York. The list of honorary guests at his funeral is actually a list of all the important figures in the world of jazz at that time. The last path included Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Pearl Bailey, Count Basie, Harry James, Frank Sinatra, Ed Sullivan, Earl Wilson, Alan King, Johnny Carson and David Frost.

Kto z nas nie zna "What a wonderful world", "Dream a little dream of me" czy "Hello Dolly". Za niesłabnącą popularność tych utworów odpowiada wyjątkowy muzyk, Louis Armstrong. Zapewne wiecie że był to jeden z największych amerykańskich trębaczy i wokalistów jazzowych. Wyróżniał się stylem gry na trąbce i wokalistyką jazzową, do której wprowadził śpiew scatem. Odegrał znaczącą rolę w historii jazzu.

Urodził się w 1901 r., oczywiście w Nowym Orleanie. Szybko porzucił szkołę i wszedł w skład grupy chłopców, grającej popularne piosenki na ulicach. Gdy skończył 11 lat zarobił na swój pierwszy instrument - kornet, na którym sam nauczył się grać. Młody muzyk trafił pod skrzydła „Kinga” Olivera który stał się dla niego mentorem i poprowadził go po ścieżce muzycznej. Uczył się od Bunka Johnsona, Buddy'ego Petita i Joe "Kinga" Olivera.
