Bakso (Idn), Bak-So (Chn), Meatballs (En)
Today is so fun. Why? Because my sister and I make meatballs. Our family loves this culinary. Because the manufacture is not too complicated to do.
Know what is meatballs? In Indonesia, meatballs are more familiar with the name Bakso or Siomay for a small version of the meatballs. Almost everyone in this country is very fond of this culinary. Because it feels so chewy and tempting.
Meatball is one of the Chinese culinary art of Indonesia. This is clearly known from Bak-So, in Hokkien which literally means 'ground meat'. Because most of Indonesia's population is muslim, meatballs are more commonly made from halal meat such as beef, fish, or chicken. Chinese people usually make meatballs from pork or seafood and the color is a little brown and the shape is not too round. While the Indonesian meatballs made of beef or chicken, a little gray and very round shape. Chinese meatballs are usually not served with soup as we see in Indonesia.
In Indonesia, meatballs can be made so various kinds. Such as meatball noodles, fried meatballs, grilled meatballs and many more. Even the Indonesian people like not run out of ideas to make things so unique.
Call for example giant meatballs that may spend a long time just to spend one meatball. Yup, this is the uniqueness of the people of this country. Unlimited ideas to create new things.

But we must be careful buddy, because sometimes there are sellers who are not good to sell their meatballs made from preservatives such as borax. The goal is that their meatballs are more durable and more chewy than usual. Of course, this borax is very dangerous for our body because the preservatives can increase the risk of liver cancer if consumed continuously in large quantities.
Meatballs that my sister made this time is not really special. Armed with the internet, my brother looked for a meatball recipe and made it himself. It may not feel the same as the others, but it is a pleasure of its own because of the hard-earned results of its own hands.
